"After The Last Supper," by Devorah Sperber, The New Yorker, February 19, 2007

The Brooklyn Museum presents Devorah Sperber's installations.

BROOKLYN MUSEUM OF ART
200 Eastern Parkway (718-638-5000)—“The Eye of the Artist: The Work of Devorah Sperber.” Sperber arranges tens of thousands of spools of thread or colored crystals like pixels to make her installations; the seemingly abstract fields of color resolve into straightforward copies of famous paintings only when viewed through an inverting optical lens. Through May 6. (Open Wednesdays through Fridays, 10 to 5, and Saturdays and Sundays, 11 to 6.)
